The industrial photographer provides support for all photographic needs of a company, creating dynamic images for publication, making executive and editorial portraits, and working with writers and designers to produce reports and visual presentations. This major also teaches the crucial specialized skills needed for assignments in research, and scientific instrumentation photography. Capturing what is either too fast or too slow for the human eye to see, these techniques have many advertising and commercial photography applications as well.

In today’s world, “sculpture” defines a broad, diverse range of objects and practices. The Sculpture program at the Art Academy of Cincinnati provides a strong foundation in traditional and contemporary 3-D processes, enabling students to explore the full spectrum of possibilities. With guidance and individual attention from instructors, Sculpture majors fuse old and new mediums and strategies into their own art-making process.
The Sculpture major has many exciting career paths. Many recent AAC graduates are exhibiting their sculpture at the local, regional, or national level. Others are entering top graduate programs or working for successful designers, foundries, fabricators, display firms, and interior design firms.

The liberal arts are an integral part of the CVA curriculum. Students acquire essential skills in writing, public speaking, and mathematics. They develop the knowledge base and the conceptual skills essential to artists and designers through courses in art history and the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. Students also acquire the skills in research that promote lifelong learning. Because of the importance of these academic studies, all students at CVA take courses in the liberal arts throughout the four years of their education. Liberal Arts classes are closely coordinated with studio classes at CVA.
