Animation Degree at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design Israel

Cinematic and digital media are developing at a rapid pace and dimension making it impossible to predict their precise future direction. New professions are constantly emerging in the field of digital technology and the use of animation in the presentation of visual information – television, Internet, multimedia and classical cinema (virtual actors and computerized animation stunts) – is growing by leaps and bounds. New inventions that crop up daily provide animation artists with sophisticated state-of-the-art tools to express their art. All this has led to unprecedented growth in the animation industry. However, this growth has created a gap between the technical skills these advanced tools provide and the animators’ creative abilities and artistic level.

I was surprised that the assignments and professors were so flexible. Depending on the course, the content is mostly up to us as long as it includes the project requirements. There’s freedom in the work, so it’s enjoyable. And we have room to learn, because it’s not restricted.

The Lure of the West

RMCAD offers the only illustration program of this caliber outside the hectic environment of the East and West coasts. Our free-spirited and supportive culture provides an ideal incubator for your creative abilities.

You will graduate with a world class portfolio of work and a network of personal and professional contacts. Plus the ability to portray virtually any concept as a compelling image.

I knew that RMCAD’s Illustration department was the best place or me because of its analytical and intellectual approach to teaching art. I believe artists need to be intellectually fit before they can be creatively fit.
